Are you interested in an adult dog that is obedience trained, crate trained, house trained and loves to ride in the car? Meet Bellomy, a proud graduate of our North Central Correctional Institute obedience program.

Bellomy is 6 years old and weighs about 48 lbs. He is a beautiful brindle color and looks like a mix of mountain cur and plott hound with maybe beagle, but who knows without a DNA test. He gets along well with other dogs. but a meet and greet is always recommended if you have another dog in your household. He also enjoys walks around the neighborhood and playing a game of tug-o-war. Bellomy gets nervous around the high energy of kids, so an adult only household would be perfect.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
