If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We acquired Crescent as a stray kitten who recently had kittens. She is around 2years old, smart, maternal, cuddly, curious, and somewhat teeters between lazy and hyperactive.
She can be territorial with other cats, but we are not sure this is a space issue, a mom issue, and have not seen it since adoption. She can focus on one person, but is not particular if cuddling. We call her maternal because crying, screaming, or pain bring her, and she will paw the door to get in (no marks) and assist.
She loves scratching cardboard, and will leave furniture alone (mostly) if you have it avaliable. She loves bells and feathers, but mostly any cat toy will do.
Our problem is we are busy with young children and dont have time to give her the stimulation she needs. This results in her being jealous of our daughter. She can claw, but doesnt generally. She does get underfoot, so wouldnt work with someone with mobility issues. A physically active cat person, even with older kids is best.
