Meet the Pet
This helps Adopt Korean Rescue - Vancouver with pet care costs.
Meet Raon, a four-year-old mixed breed with a gorgeous brown coat. Weighing 10.6kg and standing 44cm tall at the shoulders, this sweet girl is the proud mom of Yeni and Hwani. Now, it’s her turn to find a loving forever home!
Raon can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you offer her a tasty treat! With just an hour of quality time, she’ll go from cautious to cuddly, happily soaking up affection. Her love for treats means she’ll remember you the next time you meet and greet you with excitement. She hasn’t had experience with young children, but she allows gentle handling, including being picked up. Once she trusts you, she’ll snuggle up beside you for naps and even roll over to show her belly.
When it comes to other dogs, Raon prefers polite introductions. She enjoys sniffing and greeting new friends but isn’t overly playful. She’s more comfortable with dogs her size and can feel uneasy around larger dogs. If another dog gets too pushy, she isn’t afraid to let them know she needs space, and if challenged, she may stand her ground. She also has a bit of a jealous streak—if an unfamiliar dog gets too cozy with her person, she might step in to claim her spot.
Raon has lived with cats before and coexists peacefully without any signs of aggression. On walks, she may glance at a passing cat out of curiosity, but with gentle guidance, she follows her human’s lead without issue.
She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor adventures but is just as happy to settle down afterward. With plenty of leash experience, Raon is a dream to walk! She doesn’t pull and naturally follows her person’s pace. Loud noises or heavy traffic might make her pick up speed slightly, but she doesn’t bolt; instead, she stays close to her handler for reassurance.
When it comes to food, Raon is friendly and has no issues with resource guarding. However, she loves treats so much that she might try to sneak a snack from another dog’s portion! She has no signs of separation anxiety and prefers to do her business outdoors.
With her gentle nature, treat-motivated personality, and excellent leash manners, Raon is a wonderful companion looking for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and appreciated. If you’re searching for a loyal friend who will warm up to you in no time, Raon might just be the perfect match!
