Did you know in many cultures black cats are considered lucky? Unfortunately for this sweet boy, he has had his run of bad luck. He was abandoned by his previous owners when they moved, and left to fend for himself before being brought to us. He is a shy boy, still figuring out that his luck may be just around the corner and is a little slow to warm up to us, but loves scratches and pets when he warms up to you! Bring home this sweet guy and he may be your lucky strike!

Cats over 4 months -- $75 for one, $100 for two
Puppies under 4 months -- $300
Dogs over 4 months-- $100, $150 for two
Rabbits -- $50 for one, $80 for two
Guinea Pigs -- $15 for one, $25 for two
Rats, Mice, and Hamsters - $8.00 for one, $2 for any additional

The main caregiver and an adult in the family are required to be present and meet the animal to adopt. An application and signed contract is required, and homeownership or verification from a landlord that the pet is allowed is required. Dog adoptions require an introduction to all members of the family as well as any existing dogs.

Furry Friends seeks to assist all animals in need through a variety of programs. We are a group of passionate people who have created the first no- kill community in Iowa and hope to spread the no-kill mission through the rest of Iowa.
