My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update from her foster. Maggie is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet, she loves having her belly rubbed and her tail is always wagging. She loves to cuddle and be as close as she can to her person and loves going on walks. She gets along well with my dog and really pays no attention to the resident cats. You really couldn't ask for a more perfect little snuggle buddy.

This sweet girl is Maggie thought to be about 8 years old and a Beagle mix. She never stops wagging her tail as she is so grateful to be cared for. Maggie is a lower key dog who loves everyone and is looking for a soft place to land when she comes to Maine on 3/22. Maggie did have a mass removed but it was benign! Maggie weighs 27 pounds. She will be fostered in Windham.

Adoption fee is 4475

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
