Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If his name wasn't Flash, it would be Chipper! He's a small bundle of energy and fun!

This little guy came to us the first week of March 2025. We're not sure of his breed mix, but he's adorable with his soft, silky, wavy gray coat.

He loves to play ball and then get comfy on a warm lap. We think Flash will do great with any kind of family, including kids. He does like to chase cats, however.

If you're looking for a fun ball of energy and a cuddler too, Flash is your guy.

He walks nicely on the leash and is doing well with potty training.

We're getting Flash up to date on vaccines, and he'll be neutered soon.

All potential adopters are required to fill out an adoption application. Upon approval, you will be able to schedule an appointment to meet the animal in which you are interested in adopting. Adoption forms can be downloaded off of our website or filled out in person at an adoption center.

Dogs - $550

Adoption fee includes vaccinations, testing for FIV and Feline Leukemia (cats) or heart worm (dogs), spaying/neutering, and age appropriate veterinary care.

More about this rescue

Save The Animals Rescue Team II (S.T.A.R.T. II), started in 1989, is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 status organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of homeless and abandoned companion animals. Twice a week we visit a local pound and take as many adoptable animals as we can. These animals are provided veterinary care, clean living conditions, exercise and socialization.

We work with potential adopters to find that perfect match…..giving them a "fur"- ever home for life. In addition, we educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering as well as offering low cost options, vaccinations, preventive medications, and proper living conditions for their new and existing pets.

This lifesaving work is critical for many of these unfortunate animals, since their only crime was to be born unwanted. Since our inception, we have rescued and placed over 7,000 dogs and cats.
