Meet Tomy (Tommy) – The Gentle, Sweet-Natured Pup!

Tomy is a 4-month-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix from Mexico who’s adjusting beautifully to life in the city! With his gentle demeanor and playful spirit, this little guy is the perfect blend of calm and curious.

A Thoughtful Explorer – While still getting used to his leash, Tomy enjoys watching the world go by from a cozy window seat. His foster family is helping him build confidence, and he’ll need a patient family to continue this journey!

Loves Doggy Friends – Tomy enjoys learning from the bigger dogs at daycare and would thrive in a home with another pup to show him the ropes. He prefers being part of a pack over being a lapdog.

Calm & Sweet – Though he loves playtime, Tomy also enjoys lounging in the sun and taking long, peaceful naps.

Working on His Training – He’s learning “sit” and “stay” and is doing great with wee-wee pad training. His forever family will need to continue reinforcing his progress with patience and positivity.

It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.

STEP 1: Apply!
Download and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION from www.waggytailrescue.org/adopt-a-waggytail

STEP 2: The Meet and Greet!
We strongly suggest the ALL members of the household come to the meet and greet. This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you, your family and your other animals, and if you have allergies. If everything goes well you may adopt the same day, or take a day or two to decide, but we cannot indefinitely hold dogs in foster care for you.

STEP 3: Contract and Donation!
Fill out and sign the TRANSFER AGREEMENT.

The DONATION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred!
You may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue), however processing of adoptions may be delayed by up to 2 weeks.
If your new buddy is not yet neutered, a $100 refundable deposit must be paid at adoption.

Dog Donation Fees
(includes microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines, and neuter)

$550 for puppies under 1 year
$450 for dogs 1 to 8 years
$325 for seniors over 9 years of age

Please add an additional $15 when paying by PayPal to cover processing fees.
Add $100 neuter deposit for unfixed animals.

We focus on finding permanent placement for animals in urgent circumstances, saving dogs from imminent euthanasia at over-crowded local shelters, West Coast and South East kill shelters.
