My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wes is a 6-month-old chocolate Lab mix with a heart as big as his playful personality! Despite his small size at just 16.5 lbs, this little guy has a lot of love to give and is on a journey to gain some much-needed weight. He’s already house and crate trained, making him an easy addition to any home.

Wes is a social butterfly—he adores people, gets along great with other dogs, and is always ready for fun! Whether it’s zooming around the yard, playing with toys, or soaking up belly rubs, he embraces every moment with joy. His sweet, happy-go-lucky nature makes him impossible not to love.

Wes was an owner surrender, he is extremely underweight, and on his way to a healthier happier life.

Wesley is looking for a family that will help him grow strong and give him all the love he deserves. Could that be you?

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Once your application is approved you will be contacted by the rescue and discuss the dog you are interested in and transportation.

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
