Hello there! My name is Nyx! I’m a sleek black cat wirh big yellow eyes and a great big heart. I am so sweet and affectionate once I warm up to you. Don’t be fooled— I’m shy at first but that won’t last long. I’m a pretty quiet girl, like to sit in the sun, and if you’re sitting down then I’ll want to come be beside you. I would love to find my forever home with a loving family who will be patient with me and let me get comfortable in a new home. Because of my prior situation, I might warm up to men faster than to women, so don’t take it personally. Please remember that so am indoor-only kitty. See you soon!

Submit Application

Whether you're interested in a specific pet or not, fill out our application online at houstonpetsalive.org.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up between you and your pet of interest.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet and greet goes well and your adoption application is approved, you will sign the adoption contract.

4.
Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract is signed, you will pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Bring your new best friend home! Remember that it will take some time for him/her to adjust to their new environment.
