My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Contact the foster at, Stephanie_keaton@hotmail.com

• ~2 yr, 22lb, petite female
• emaciated; body score 2/5
• Was “uninterested” in human interaction at first…takes a lil time to warm up to people and then eventually leans in for head pats & neck scratches
• Velcro dog
• uninterested in toys so far
• Easy on leash
• Easy dog in general
• Low maintenance
• Calm
• Gentle
• Quiet
• Sweet
• Great in the car
• Food motivated
• Appears house-broken
• Not a fan of water/baths
• Tucks tail & raises her hackles when other dogs approach her (she seems very scared of them) but i prefer to keep fosters separated from my dog anyway, so its not an issue for me…cant gauge dog compatibility at this time.
***update*** doing better with dogs approaching, hackles arent raising, becoming curious
• Afraid of loud noises
• Didnt try to chase neighborhood cat
• Non Reactive
• Doesnt resource guard

If you are looking for a new pet, ACC has a wide variety of animals to adopt; from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to the occasional snake and pot-bellied pigs. The shelter also has two specially designed bonding areas for people to interact and play with the animals they are considering for adoption.
