My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Lorelai

Breed: Boxer

Sex: Female

Age: 3 years

Weight: 45lbs.

Medical needs: Lorelai was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. She takes Dasuquin daily (joint supplement) and carprofen.

Housebroken: It’s a work in progress! She does great on a schedule and has had no accidents in her crate.

Crate trained: Yes. She goes in with no issues and is as quiet as a mouse.

Good in the car: Unknown

Good on a leash: No. She freezes as soon as a leash is put on her. In time, and with work and patience, this could change.

Energy level: Medium

Need a fenced-in yard: Yes, since leashes terrify her.

Dog Friendly: Yes. Lorelai hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t want to play with and be friends with!

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? YES!!! She loves ALL dogs, people take time to earn her trust and affection.

Cat Friendly? Unknown.

Kid Friendly: Unknown.

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Children under 10 are not recommended unless there is parental supervision. She is still learning that all people aren’t bad but does get scared of fast movements and loud noises.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Lorelai has come a very LONG way since she arrived in November. She LOVES other dogs and she is learning to trust people. She was very timid at first, but her confidence is growing every day! Now that she’s coming out of her shell, her personality is really starting to shine! She’s super playful and has the most adorable head tilt! She gets the cutest zoomies, but she also loves her naps. Lorelai THRIVES with other dogs - the more the merrier in her book!
