Meet Milo!
This boy may be little but he has the heart of a lion! He's brave and ready to take on anything that comes his way! He would love an active home where he can have a job to do and squirrels to chase away. Milo has had some positive experiences with larger dogs and may do well with a laid-back canine companion. He even does well with young kids and would likely be an amazing family dog! He does not care if people touch his food, he doesn't jump on furniture, and he loads up well in the car!
Though Milo may seem like he's only ever in a "go go go" mindset, he does have a sweet cuddly side as well. Unsurprisingly, working dogs tend to have the hardest time living in shelters. They're bored! They need some daily mental stimulation and a quiet place to end the day and decompress. Just because he is small, Milo is no different! He loves to play with his toys, figure out puzzles, and he loves the occasional calm and gentle cuddle session. Give him a daily task such as carrying your groceries, "hunting" down a real (or fake) mouse in the house, or even just a walk to take in the scenery and he would be one happy boy!
Milo was picked up as a stray covered in old injuries, some fresh ones, and filthy. We were thrilled to see he was microchipped but when we contacted his original owners they did not want him back. We have no clue what this poor boy went through while he was out on his own but he is a dog that doesn't dread on the past and is ready to move forward into his new life! Could Milo be the perfect dog for you?
