**Fostered in Portland, OR and ready for meet and greets!**
Rosie Posie kissed the kids and made them smile.
Rosie is a bundle of joy with a playful spirit and a face that glows with warmth. She is a gorgeous brown-eyed girl with a very sweet nature. If you are seeking a cat, dog, and kid friendly pup that would love to go on fun adventures with you…look no further. Rosie’s entire being exudes joy and enthusiasm, with a true dream-girl personality! One of my favorite things about Rosie is how her playful antics make you smile, and her absolutely undeniable adoring face just melts your heart.
Her looks lead us to believe she is a shepherd/husky mix, approximately 1.5 years old, and she weighs 51 lbs fully-grown. Breed and age can't be guaranteed since is a rescue, but we do guarantee she is going to bring you so much joy and love.
Fall in love watching her video here: https://youtu.be/dmgDLHwXuDU
Rosie may come across as a bit shy at first, but that’s just her way of easing into new situations. You'll notice how sweet and calm she is in her video, because that is her demeanor when encountering new people and places. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through. She loves to engage in fun activities and is eager to explore the world around her. Regular exercise is a must for this energetic girl, as she thrives when she can stretch her legs and play with her people and canine companions.
Rosie is fortunate to be living with a dedicated foster while she waits for her adoption day. In her foster home, she lives with both a much larger dog and a much smaller dog, along with a cat and a few kids that stop by regularly. She has proved to be wonderful in every way! From sharing toys and food with the other dogs to playful snuggles with the kids, she respects the cat and is great at greeting guests. Her foster praises her for being a wonderful, easy addition to the pack. All this in-home practice is helping Rosie perfect her house manners and learn the rhythm of a busy home. She is fully house-trained and picks up new skills with ease.
Although Rosie loves being around other dogs, we like to see how she interacts with new canine friends to gauge her level of playfulness. Rosie is polite when meeting new dogs on-leash but was slightly intimidated by a much larger male. It only took her a few moments to warm up and approach for sniffs and hellos. When meeting a similar-sized female, she was friendly and eager to connect. With a little time, she’ll fully embrace her playful side. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would be a wonderful addition to any pack. Along with dogs, Rosie is great with cats and has been respectful and cautious around them, but she will invite them to play if she is bored. She will do best with cats that will not run from her play bows.
Rosie would thrive in a home with a yard to run and play. She is pretty good on leash, and is crate trained too. She has also been learning some basic commands in her foster home and learns so quickly! A house with a yard, a loving family, a canine companion, or maybe even a feline friend — Rosie would fit right in.
If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and adventurous four-legged friend with the cutest face and a heart full of joy, Rosie is ready and waiting!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
