Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB 21 January 2022
Microchipped
Foxy is very sweet, gentle and polite. She is "shy" but coming along beautifully in her foster home — she is showing her curious, playful and lovable self more and more as she continues to open up.
Foxy's favourite things to do are snuggling in a cat bed by the window, or standing inside the door to watch birds in the trees through the screen. Videos of birds in flower gardens, and videos of happy cats purring soothe her. Foxy loves chasing automated toys and gets excited chasing her butterfly cat toy! She also has an adorable quirky way of playing where she rolls around clutching her favourite stuffed toys.
She loves a Churu treat and will lick it from your fingers! When her foster parent lays on the floor next to her during a play session, Foxy now comes up close to their head as though she wants to snuggle too. At times she lets them pet her head with their hand, a toothbrush, or wooden scratcher. When it's meal time, Foxy sits by her bowl gazing up at her foster parent to sweetly and politely let them know it's time.
Foxy was rescued from a hoarding situation along with other cats, but she needs to be the only pet in her home (though her foster parent feels that she could eventually be open to other cats once she loses some of her fear and apprehension, as she is very gentle with humans). Foxy also needs to feel safe and supported in her new home (one without children), and may need some time and patience as she adapts to her new situation.
She has come a long way in a short time — from scared, shut-down and always hiding, to being braver and braver each day as she continues exploring and trusting in her new environment. She is now more comfortable being around her foster parent, who is certain that Foxy will steadily bloom in a supportive forever home!
