This helps Town and Country Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Riley is a very sweet boy. He came to us from Oklahoma and he sang the whole trip! It may take him a few days to warm up and feel comfortable, but once he is ready he would love chin scritches!
Riley is FIV+. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a virus that affects cats. It attacks the immune system, making the cat more vulnerable to other infections. There's no cure for FIV, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. Keeping them indoors with good nutrition and consistent preventive health care is a must. Consult your veterinarian for more information about caring for a FIV+ cat and other resident cats.
Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.
We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.
Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!
***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.
