My name is Benny!

Benny is a 3-year-old, 11-lb male chihuahua/dachshund mix from Tijuana.

This affectionate, ultra snuggly boy wants to be your forever companion! His favorite hobbies so far are snuggling under the covers, getting treats & going for walks to the park.

With his foster family, he has become housetrained and picked up his potty schedule very quickly! Benny enjoys walks and seems delighted and full of curiosity when outside. He is working on gaining confidence everyday when outside! Everything is new to him but he is taking to it quite well, as long as he gets structured routine and alone time to decompress 

He will need to be introduced to new experiences but takes to them quickly if allowed time to be curious. His foster mom works from home in her office while Benny relaxes quietly in a separate gated-off room. His forever home will need to continue building his confidence through regular routine and reinforcing the progress he's made with alone time and separation.

He loves his humans very much and adjusts quickly to whatever they're doing, whether its an activity or downtime. He seems fine with other dogs outdoors.

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Spayed and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
