My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Current Foster Location: Orleans, ON

*Please note that we do not typically adopt outside of a 2 hour radius from the foster dogs current location*

Meet Goyave, aka GoGo, Lady GoGo, Goji berry, the wise sage of snuggles! This distinguished gentle lady has spent years perfecting the fine arts of cuddling and biscuit-making (expert kneader, have you seen those big mittens?!). Low maintenance, high love output. Her litter box etiquette is impeccable, and her bedtime routine includes curling up next to you (or on you) like a furry little heating pad. If youre looking for a loving, purring guru to grace your home, she is ready to share her wisdom (and your bed)!

Goyave is a very resilient little lady, she is thriving in her busy foster house with 3 kids and 2 Guinea pigs. She loves her treats and comes running from wherever she is to have a snack, crunch, crunch! She loves being brushed and petted, she cant get enough of those chin scratches. Despite those incredibly hard-to-resist large furry mitts, she is extremely respectful of furniture (bonus!).

Goyave is just purrfection!

This sweet lady has been diagnosed with diabetes. Her adoption fee will be reduced.

Applications are submitted and reviewed against a pet bio that is prepared by the foster. This allows for a match of the family to the pet.

2.

Interview

Screening questions are completed to confirm match before meet and greet

3.

Meet the Pet

Dog up for adoption, the applicant and foster meet.

4.

Home Check

A virtual home visit along with 2 reference checks is done to confirm safe and suitable home (one reference is a vet if possible)

5.

Approve Application

A call with the applicant and adoption team is held to finalize, and then send contract.

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

Contract and addendum if needed is sent to the applicant.

7.

Pay Fee

After the adoption donation and contract are received, the adoption is considered final. Then pick up the new family member and take home

Additional adoption info

We use a team to cover different steps in the process so that we have input from several individuals to confirm dog/puppy is a fit in the new family and we have the correct forever home.
