Pooh Bear is an adorable 4-year-old Chihuahua with a heart full of love. Sadly, through no fault of his own, he found himself in need of a new home after his owner passed away. A caring friend took him in and reached out to our rescue to help him find the loving forever family he deserves.

Despite the changes in his life, Pooh Bear is doing wonderfully in his foster home. He’s getting along well with other dogs and is doing great with his crate training. This little guy is as sweet as can be and is looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
