Hiya! My name is Mimosa, but everyone calls me Meemo. I'll respond to either, especially if you sing to me, or have a bell. All my friends tell me I'm brave and should be so proud of myself. People really aren't so scary once you get to know them. I have my cubbies to hide in when I'm uncertain. I love how they scratch my head and give pets. My friends say I like booty pats. They feel so good! I let you know when I'm ready for some love with a stop, flop, and roll. I'm a big goofball. I'll never turn down a game. There's lots of toys around here, I go crazy with them a couple times a day. Balls and feathers are my favorite! I'm a pro hunter from my days of living outside. I'm so glad those are behind me! As you can see from my ear, I was almost an outdoor Kitty. Thank goodness I showed them my sweet side. I still don't like to be picked up, or crowded. The other kitties here get lots of kisses. Those things are scary! It's such a strange sound too, I don't know if I like it. Really , all I want to do is cuddle and play! I do love watching the outside world from the window. Especially when I can lay in a Sunny Spot. I live with two other kitties. We get along but sometimes the girl makes me nervous. She's Queen of the roost. I'm still figuring out how to play with her and her brother. We mostly hang out and nap around each other. I like to eat by myself. We're still trying to figure out what food is best for my belly. I'm not very picky though. I love treats and catnip! Especially if they're by a heat vent. Those things are amazing! I really like my foster family, but I think there's a family out there just for me. Hopefully they will have nice kitties , or be willing to get some for me to play with.

All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

The process begins with the completion of our Adoption Application form on our website (locrami.com).

2.
Approve Application

We will do a vet check if you now own or have owned pets in the past.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

At the adoption you will sign our adoption contract, be given an adoption booklet with the cat's medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

After we receive your application we should get back to you in 2 days at most.
You will fill out a preliminary Getting to Know You pre-adoption form. We will interview you and possibly co-adopter, We will talk to your vet, make sure the address you give us is legitimate. When you are approved for adoption you will fill out a Final adoption Form. All of our cats who are adopted have a trial period and may be returned.
In general, we ask $150 for kittens and $130 for cats over a year of age. Our cats and kittens are spay/neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, tested for FIV and FeLV, and dewormed.

Our cats can be adopted at any time by arranging an appointment at a foster home or meeting at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Road between 14 and 15 Mile Roads, in Commerce Twp. If you would like to see one of the cats you viewed online contact us via phone or email so we can make arrangements for you to meet them.

More about this rescue

We branched off of another rescue group in Oct of 2015, in order to concentrate solely on cats and kittens. We are a 501c3 foster-based group of dedicated volunteers, and our mission is finding homes for stray, abandoned, no longer wanted cats and kittens. We are a foster-based Rescue, meaning we have no brick and mortar facility. All our cats are cared for by foster caregivers in loving homes. We give medical help to sick and injured cats as needed. Donations, grants, and adoption fees are our sole means of income for our group. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.
