My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cute little boy is only 5 mo old and is still learning the world. He is the sweetest pup who wants to make friends, but he is very shy at first. He submissively crawls over to our dogs and gives them kisses, hoping for their approval. When they give in and start to play, Kirby will wrestle with them for hours! He would love a buddy in his next home. Like your typical puppy, Kirby is clumsy and adorable! He plays hard and then naps, snuggled up close to his people. He loves being held also! Kirby hasn't been around cats yet, but we think he would do fine with them. However, we do feel a home with older or no kids would be best. We are working on housebreaking Kirby, but he isn't fully there yet. He is also still figuring out the crate. He came in with his mom, Eve, so he is used to constant company and is just now learning how to be more independent. We have seen some progress, but he needs more training to feel comfortable on his own. Kirby is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His mom is a 6lb Terrier. We don't know his dad, but Kirby is currently 10lbs at 5 mo. We guess he will be somewhere between 12 and 15lbs as an adult. Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)
$125 for adult cats
$100 for senior cats

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
