My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hank the Husky is looking for a foster to adopt!

This sweetheart is just about 3 years old and was surrendered to us last week through no fault of his own. He has a rear leg injury that we are treating and we want to be sure he's on the right track prior to being officially adopted.

He has been very well behaved for us, but with his husky nature, he does like to run! He'd need a dedicated family that will keep him secure in a yard or by leash walking (or running) with him daily.
He's up to date on vaccinations, preventatives, neutered, and will be microchipped prior to him going home. He's a quiet boy and seems to be on the calmer side.

If interested in bringing home this gorgeous boy, you can find our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1. Or you can visit us Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have a short questionnaire that can be filled out before or during the meet and greet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

2.

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. This may happen during the meet and greet or via phone before a meet and greet.

3.

Meet the Pet

4.

Pay Fee

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $175.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Take the Pet Home

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Come meet our cats Tuesday through Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. While we currently don't have dogs in the building, we do have dogs in foster care. If you're interested in meeting one of them, please contact us to arrange a time with their foster family.
