Penelope is an adorable three-year-old red and brown agouti guinea pig looking for a loving guardian.
Penelope is a little shy, but gentle, with people and may enjoy the company of a female, or neutered male guinea pig upon proper introduction.
Penelope eats unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, and a cup of fresh salad each day and a ¼ cup of pellets. She loves romaine and parsley! Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, vitamin C cookies, or some of their dark leafy greens.

Penelope can live as an only guinea pig if she’s lavished with love. Maintenance includes keeping her nails trimmed, and her habitat nice and clean.

Her adoption fee of $25 benefits the friends of Petraits Rescue. For an additional $50, we’ll include a kit of absolutely everything you need to care for her including her two-foot by 4-foot cage, pellets, litter, hay, hidey hut, treats, and water bottle.
She is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
