Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jelly is a beautiful, precious kitten who takes her time to trust. Her guarded nature means she might be slow to open up to new people and experiences, but once she does, you`ll discover a sweet, loving companion. Patience and care are key when it comes to Jelly- she prefers calm, slow movements around her, as sudden gestures may startle her. She thrives in an environment where she can feel secure and has people who will intentionally want to develop a relationship with her. Jelly`s love and affection are earned over time. Give her the patience she needs, and Jelly will slowly reveal her special bond with you!
Foster family reports that Jelly wants to be around people and is curious about interacting with the family, but is still learning to trust people. She loves being around our friendly cat and small dog and has been taking her cues from them. She’s started to play with toys and is excited to explore our house. We’ve been encouraging her to come to us with “lick” treats and by holding her food bowl and petting her while she eats. Once she is no longer scared, she loves pets and will purr up a storm while you scratch her ears/neck. She’ll also enjoy a cuddle if you pick her up & hold her. Jelly is going to be a wonderful pet and just needs someone willing to put in a little effort to show her that she has no reason to be scared any more! (FYI She may occasionally still “hiss” if you approach her too quickly, but she now remains gentle… so we mostly ignore it and keep approaching her in a soothing manner)
