My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ME…
Hi there! My name’s Joey, and I’m on a mission to find my forever family.

I was born the day after Thanksgiving to an accidental litter, lovingly referred to as the “FRIENDS Litter”. My mama presents strongly as a black lab, but is reportedly a mix of shepherd, rottweiler, and bully. My dad is a coonhound mix.

I’m a playful little pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. My favorite things include chasing squeaky toys, snuggling up for naps, and giving the best puppy kisses ever! I’m already learning some basic commands, and I’m always eager to make my humans smile. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will bring endless joy to your home, I just might be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you — could you be my happily ever after? 🐾❤️

I AM GREAT WITH…
All people (including kids!), other dogs, and sleeping in my crate at night. I play with my foster brother, a 4-year-old Brittany Spaniel and met the German Shepherd and Beagle next door! Although timid at first, I am getting more comfortable running around the yard with them.

I AM STILL WORKING ON…
Potty training and knowing my boundaries. The human children in my foster house are great but sometimes I get too excited and jump on them! However, I am getting better. I am having more success using the bathroom outside and am working on crate training to help with this process.

I AM NOT GOOD WITH…
I haven’t found anything that I am not good with yet! I eat well, play with others, and listen!

**All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**
