Are you prepared to have a kitty take a flying leap onto your lap every time you sit down for the absolute best snuggles of your life?
Casper is a handsome and laid back 6-year-old male kitty who wants absolutely nothing more in life than to make biscuits on your lap and find a cozy sunspot to lay in. This sweet boy lived life on the streets up until a few months ago and when he came into the rescue he got a full dental. He’s a very gummy boy with no teeth now!
Casper loves to snuggle and is the best little lap warmer anyone could ask for. He’s not figured out how to play with toys yet, so his days are filled with cozy naps and slow walks around the house appreciating the safety of the great indoors. Casper is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! It doesn’t impact his day-to-day life, and he is on no medications. All it means is that his immune system is a bit compromised, but as an indoor cat, he is at a low risk for exposure to illness. He tolerates other cats, but would prefer to soak up all the love himself. Young kids and dogs move a little too fast for this guy that has a taste for laid-back life.
All in all, if you’re looking for a super chill, snuggly cat that would just be so grateful to have an indoor home of his own, Casper is your guy! He has become a volunteer favorite while we watched his glow-up from scraggly street cat to a spoiled orange lap magnet and he deserves the best home ever!

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
