Greta is the definition of a gentle soul. Recently surrendered after her previous owners could no longer care for her, this sweet older lady is adjusting to a whole new world at FDHS. And while shelter life can be a little overwhelming, Greta has been nothing but kind and loving to everyone she meets.

She’s a curvy queen (okay, she’s a little chonky!), so she’s on a new health journey with a diet and more outdoor time to help her feel her best. In her previous home, she didn’t get outside much or have the chance to exercise, but now she’s soaking up the fresh air, taking in all the sniffs, and loving the extra attention from her caregivers.

Greta may still be a little nervous with all the hustle and bustle of the shelter, but what she really wants is a quiet, cozy home where she can relax, be loved, and enjoy her golden years. If you’re looking for the sweetest old lady to spoil, Greta is your girl! 💕

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
