Meet Tootsie! This adorable girl was out of time at a rural shelter, but now she’s safe and ready to find her happily ever after!
Tootsie is a 3-month-old, nearly 16-pound Catahoula/Cattle Dog mix who will likely grow to around 60 pounds. She can be a tiny bit shy at first, but that only lasts a second—then she’s all about love and playtime! She enjoys running around, chasing toys, and playing with other dogs. She’s also great with kids!
This happy, playful pup is already working on potty training and is proving to be a smart girl. With a little love and guidance, she’s sure to blossom into a confident and loyal companion. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
