My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Loreta - a 47lbs bowling ball of love looking for her forever home! She is a former mama-dog, and a 24/7 scrumptious sweetheart that is ready to be the newest addition to a new family! She would especially love a home that would be open to sharing their cucumbers and raspberries, but that isn’t a hard requirement.

She is house-trained, crate-trained, and is a great listener! She is 5 years old, enjoys leisurely neighborhood strolls where she can show off her strut (waddle). She would thrive in either a multi-dog household, or as a single lady in her new forever home. Loreta loves to lounge in a comfy dog bed, in a pocket of sunshine outdoors, or snuggled up in someone’s lap.

To meet Loreta, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
