Meet Ethan! This Beagle/Chihuahua mix is about 6 years old and 28 pounds. Ethan has mastered most of his good boy skills, but is still adjusting to his new foster home and city. He can be a bit timid around large dogs, though he does better with dogs his own size. And Ethan prefers to meet new humans on his own terms. But once he’s established trust, this sweetie will always be by your side. As his foster puts it, Ethan is like velcro - he’s so snuggly and loves to be close!

Fill out our adoption application at heartsandbonesrescue.org and our adoption team will be in touch about next steps within a few days.

Meet the Pet

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
