Meet Carmelita!
Carmelita is a goofy, playful young girl who loves playing with her doggy pals, especially puppies! She was one of our mama dogs and seems to still have some of that motherly instinct, even though her babies have long since been adopted. She is often paired with young puppies as she knows how to be gentle with them but she also loves playing with them! She is currently in foster with 4 medium to large dogs and does very well with them too. She even coexists well with cats!
Carmelita has an overall timid and skittish personality so she will need to go to a quiet home with at least another doggy pal or two to help her gain some confidence. If there are no other dogs around, she will not come out of her shell so she needs to have a friend around!
She is a very curious girl and likes to watch the world around her go by, especially from the windowsill or the comforts of a little hidey hole. She likes to watch TV as well at times and listen to the voices and sounds coming from it. Carmelita is starting to follow her foster around the house a bit and has started trying to sleep in the bedroom with her! She is making progress day by day and even comes up and gives little hand kisses before running back into hiding.
If you think you would like to give this sweet, goofy, and shy little girl a chance, call the Ranch to come meet her today! Since she is in foster, please give at least a day's notice before you come by.
Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.
All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.
The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300
(unless a reduced fee applies )
