Weighing in at around 9 pounds, Lyric is a calm and cuddly companion who loves to curl up for snuggles. Her expressive eyes show her loving nature, and she's always eager to bond with her humans. Lyric has a playful side too, especially when it comes to chew toys, which she absolutely adores. She’s still learning the ropes, so she’ll need a patient and loving home that can help her master basic commands and continue her training. The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Drive in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
