Meet Lipton! The calmer and more laid-back of the tea sisters, Lipton is still quite shy and skittish but has a gentle and sweet nature. She may not be the most affectionate cat, but she enjoys a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and relaxed.

Lipton thrives in a quiet home with patient adopters who understand her need for space and time to adjust. She is bonded with her sister, Tetley, who helps bring out her confidence. If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who will flourish with love and patience, Lipton (and Tetley!) might be the perfect pair for you!

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
