Hello! My name is Gigi (aka Harper). I am 3 years old and weigh 25.8lbs. I ended up in a kill pound after my breeder owner drop me off there and lucky for me, a rescue non kill shelter pulled me out of there in time. Then after sitting several months in this West Virginia shelter, Home Sweet Home rescue took me in.

I have a very well balanced temperament and personality. Tail forever wagging, I am a very friendly, outgoing and sweet girl that gets along well with everyone, strangers or acquaintances, including men, women and I adore children! I am very affectionate in nature and just love cuddles! I will sit for you to pet me and make this cute little grunting sound to tell you how much I enjoy the human touch. I am also very sociable with all dogs, any size and of both genders and I am also friendly with feline friends. I sit without command to receive a treat and take it gently. I am a polite dog and I do not jump on people to greet them. I love to lay quietly in the sun and chew my chewing bone. I entertain myself by chasing and throwing my rubber kong around. I am pretty well housebroken and crate trained. I am quiet in my crate and I keep it clean. I am quiet in the house and will only bark to come inside if you leave me outside on my own for what I consider to be too long. I am agile and clever, just a typical beagle. And of course, naturally, I am very food motivated! I am not inclined to surf kitchen table or counters but please, do not tempt me and leave any yummy stuff where I can reach it!
I am adventurous while on walks and enjoy exploring the neighbourhood! I am smart, eager to please and can’t wait to join your pet loving family.

If I can say so myself, I know that perfection does not exist on this planet but I also know that I am as close to being perfect as a pooch can be!
