My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lemon Loaf – Your One and Only Queen!

Hey there, I’m Lemon Loaf, a stunning tabby girl with the cutest face and a personality as bold as my name! I was found as a stray, fighting for my meals and learning to fend for myself. Because of that, I absolutely do NOT like other cats—I had to compete for food and survival, and I’m not looking to share my throne now.

But humans? Oh, I LOVE humans! I want ALL the attention, ALL the love, and ALL the pets. I’m a purr machine and a biscuit-making professional (employee of the month, actually). If you’re looking for a snuggly, confident kitty who will tell you exactly what she wants, when she wants it—I’m your girl.

I’ll be happiest in a home where I can be the center of your world, with patient humans who understand that I have my boundaries (and I will let you know if I don’t like something). I may have had a rough start, but I deserve a life full of love, comfort, and endless head scritches.

Are you ready to give a sassy, affectionate, and loaf-tastic girl like me the forever home I deserve? Let’s meet!

Lemon Loaf is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
