Hey everyone! My name is Snoop and I’m about 6 years old and about 13 lbs. My human mom rescued me from the side of the road three years ago after I had been hurt by other dogs. But don’t worry—I’m all better now and absolutely love other dogs! I also get along great with kids and even cats.
Two years ago, I had what my mom calls a dental procedure, and just seven months ago, I had bladder surgery to remove some stones—thankfully, they’re all gone now! Some of my favorite things in the world are playing with my ball and snuggling up in Mom’s bed for a nap.
I do have one little quirk—I tend to hike my leg to potty since I was neutered later in life. But as long as I have my wrap on (and no sneaky pup friends to help me take it off), I do just fine!
My family loves me so much, and if things were different, I would stay with them forever. But they just welcomed a new baby, and unfortunately, she can’t be around me. So now, I’m looking for a new forever home where I can be loved just as much. I can’t wait to meet my new family!
Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.
Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.

We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.

Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip.
Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.
Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
