Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mira
DOB: 4/17/23
Breed: Pit Bull mix
Requirements: A home with women only and without children under 12.
Mira’s family has made the very difficult decision to re-home her, and while we understand that situations like this can be emotional, we will not tolerate negativity or judgment. They have spent the past year giving her time to adjust, but despite their best efforts, she continues to struggle with fear of men, particularly the father in the home. This has created a stressful environment for everyone involved, and finding her the right home is the most compassionate choice for her Mira. Mira LOVES women and when she feels safe she is extremely affectionate. With patience and understanding, she will form a strong bond and become a deeply loyal companion. She loves to play but loves hanging on the couch just as much. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. If you are a fit and can provide her with the stability she needs, please consider giving her a chance.
*PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience.
