Life has gotten so much better for 3 little poodles that were rescued in February and it’s only going to get better as they look forward to becoming cherished family members in their new forever homes. Hazel, whose date of birth is 11/17/18, was listed as a red poodle on her papers. She is incredibly sweet but has been somewhat timid and is slowly learning to trust. Her ear mites are cleared up and after being brought up to date on vaccinations, she had a much-needed grooming. Her groomer sent us a before and after picture of her, and remarked that Hazel was so timid she wouldn’t look at her initially but after the groom it was like Hazel thought, you made me feel so much better, you may be someone I can trust and looked at her. Hazel was spayed and had a hernia repair as well, which we had not been aware of, and a dental on 3/6/25. On 2/25/25 she weighed 8.9 pounds. Hazel is heartworm negative and is being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Due to her small size, Hazel will only be considered for homes with older children. Hazel’s adoption donation is $665 which includes the $165 transport fee. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
