My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hermione, the only girl in the litter and the kitten equivalent of a bookworm with a secret superhero side. If you’ve ever imagined Violet Parr from The Incredibles as a kitten, you’ve got Hermione in a nutshell: petite, smart, quiet, and totally capable of amazing things, though she’d prefer to do it from the comfort of her cozy spot.
Her superpowers include the ability to fall asleep sitting up with her ears neatly folded into airplane mode and lightning-fast zoomies she does up and down the cat trees. She’s also the sneaky one who’ll be the first to play with a strange new toy before her more rambunctious brothers even know what’s going on.
When it comes to snuggling, Hermione has an irresistible, dainty meow that will melt your heart and ensure that everyone knows when she’s ready for lap time. Seriously, resistance is futile. If you work from home, she would be the best co-worker… just make sure you have your keyboard secure or she might send a few unintended emails on your behalf. (Don’t ask me how I know this.)
Though she enjoys her meals and treats a little apart from her boisterous brothers, she’s still all about recharging in quiet, high places where she can recharge her social batteries in peace. So, if you’re looking for a sweet, introverted little lady with a heart full of love and a few awesome tricks up her sleeve, Hermione is ready to steal your heart.
As is the case with any lone kitten, if you don’t have someone at home for long periods of time, (s)he’s going to get bored and will “redecorate” your home. This kitty is happiest and best served with a side of sibling, twice the love and fun, and possibly a few less shredded rolls of toilet paper!

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
