Meet Lou – Your Playful Sunshine Companion!

Hello, I’m Lou, a 2.6-year-old, 15-pound, long-haired golden Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life.

About Me:
• Neutered, fully vaccinated, and micro-chipped—I’m all set for my forever home.
• Playful Personality: I adore playtime and have an energetic spirit that will keep you smiling.
• Social Butterfly: I love my human friends and, with a gentle introduction, I get along well with other dogs too.

My Favorites:
• Sunbathing: There’s nothing like lounging in the sun, soaking up the warmth.
• Long Walks: I enjoy exploring the neighborhood and would make a great walking buddy.
• Crate Trained: I’m comfortable in my crate and have never had an accident in it.

A Little About My Past:
I’ve spent most of my life outdoors until a kind rescue brought me in. I’m eager to learn and would appreciate your guidance with potty training, especially in understanding how to signal when I need to go outside.

Adoption fees: Dogs puppy thru adult $350, seniors $200. Cats $100

Additional adoption info

An application is required to determine if the pet you are interested in would be a good match with your family/home. If you are selected for adoption a home check is required to ensure it is safe for the pet. There is a required contract where you agree to take proper care of the pet.

Adoption Fees: Dogs - puppy thru adult are $350; and seniors are $200. Cats are $100.

SCT Retrievers started because of a need to give all breeds pure or mixed, large or small, old or young another chance to have a loving forever home. This is a very small organization and totally depends on private donations to help support the needs of the pets rescued. All donations go to the direct support and care of the pets rescued and are tax deductible.
