Tabatha, a Dachshund mix, was brought into the shelter because her owner passed away. She's currently on a new diet to help trim her down a bit and is getting exercise in her foster home. Tabatha is doing wonderfully! She is currently in foster with one of our volunteers. This is what Tabatha says as interpreted by the foster mom:
My name is Tabatha and I am ready to be your best friend and fur-ever companion. Wherever you are is where I want to be. I will have eyes only for you and a happy wagging tail just because I am with you. I am an undemanding, gentle dog and love nothing better than being in my person’s presence, hearing my person’s voice and getting loving pets. I am very quiet and housebroken. I walk well on leash and ignore the deer in my backyard, but I do love to sniff the air. Even though I am 14 years young, I still have spunk and love chasing my squeaky toys. I bark with joy when I'm playing. I am smart and will get my toy when told to. I know my name and will come when called. I love riding in the car and going places. I am told I am overweight and am on a weight loss diet. Although when I look in the mirror I see my cute self. Instead of treats, I soak up lots of attention and love from my foster Mom. My foster house has lots of stairs and I do very well with them. I am great with pedicures and baths. Throughout the day I chill on one of my beds where I can always see my foster Mom. I sleep great through the night on my own bed. My experience with cats, other dogs, and small children is unknown to my foster Mom. While my foster Mom is nice, I really want my own best friend and fur-ever companion. If you're ready to be my best friend, please fill out the application as described below. I can't wait to meet you!
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter.
Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information
Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.
