KC embodies the quintessential qualities of two of the best breeds: Cattle dog and Black and Tan Hound.
KC is a three year old female Hound mix. She has so many positive attributes that we decided to just list them out and impress the humans:
Potty trained
Knows basic commands including sit and stay
Understands and uses a dog door
Bonds tightly with her human(s)
Rides well in the car
Walks well on a leash while using a gentle leader
Easily introduced to other dogs
Loves to play and wrestle
She'll do great with well behaved and respectful children over eight years of age
No food or resource aggression
KC needs a family that will include her in weekend trips to the mountains. She would enjoy venturing out to the local Brewery or walking around the neighborhood.
NO CATS or small animals like ferrets or guinea pigs.
KC cannot handle being crated due to past trauma. And while she doesn't require a crate, her new family needs to keep this in mind.
Her new family should have a secured fenced yard. The fence should be at least 4 feet high. She is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. This sweet, loyal creature is ready to meet her new humans and start bonding! She is currently being fostered in Denver, Colorado.
