Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Penne! I am an 18-month-old gray and white tuxedo cat (female). Although I recently had kittens of my own, I am still very young and love to play! I have decided that I love being an empty nester, having a safe indoor space, and human roommates that care about me... and feed me LOTS of treats!
I am a very chatty lady and love to have conversations with my people — like letting them know I’m excited for dinner, when I’m ready for attention, and that I’m having fun during playtime! I also like to have long conversations with my foster parents when they FINALLY wake up in the morning, after I have been guarding the apartment for hours without them. And while I’m not a big snuggler or lap-sitter, I still really love to be close to my people at all times and will always be your gray-and-white shadow.
One of my favorite things to do is play with a wand toy — I’m little but can get some great jumps in. I also love chasing after yarn balls, mouse toys, or really anything that you want to throw! My foster parents have been teaching me how to play fetch, so now I bring a toy and leave it at their feet when I want them to play with me. But give me something that jingles or rolls, and I’m also perfectly happy to entertain myself and zoom around on my own when they’re busy.
Loud noises, like cars and vacuum cleaners, can make me a little nervous sometimes. I don't run away from them anymore, but I will puff up my tail and strike a "Halloween Cat" pose if I hear an unexpected noise. I am used to having spaces all to myself now that my kittens have been adopted, so I'm not sure how I would get along with other cats. Dogs and human children can be very loud too, and I am pretty scared of them! I think I would do best in a home where I can be the star of the show, with people that understand my boundaries and cues. Although I have never used my claws on people, I have still made it clear to my foster parents that I don't like to be picked up! (Cue my deep-voice grumbles and airplane ears).
It makes me so happy when my foster parents spend one-on-one time hanging out with me, and I would love a home where I could get plenty of attention. I am SUCH a sweet, playful companion and can’t wait to find my forever home!
I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
