Chancey was an owner surrender after our Humane Agent was called out for a well fair check. Chancey was living in deplorable conditions in his outdoor kennel and thankfully a neighbor felt sorry for him and chose to step up and help. Chancey is a very sweet dog who loves people. He is a people dog who could spend his days hanging out with his best friend. Chancey loves to go on walks, chew on bones, and roll in straw. Chancey has had a rough couple years and really needs a fresh start to a very happy life. Chancey loves kids, he enjoyed being in the home with a newborn at one point. Chancey does not like cats and will chase them. He is selective towards dogs but we believe once he is neutered that will change. Chancey loves to snuggle with blankets, and be a lazy boy after a nice long walk. This handsome boy needs a home where he can be free, relax, and be loved. He is house broken, walks great on a leash, crate and kenneled trained, loves car rides, loves kids, and is a low level energy dog.If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
