Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harper: Betrayed by Those he Loved Most
Found at the dog park, this beautiful boy probably thought he was going on a wonderful outing. Instead, he was left behind—alone and afraid—by the people he loved and trusted.
Harper was still desperately searching for his family when the animal warden arrived. “You could see the confusion and sadness in his eyes,” he said.
At first, Harper was too scared to come to anyone at all. But with some soft, kind words, he finally let his rescuer approach—and rode back to the police station in his lap!
Today, this gentle boy still grieves for his family. Slowly but surely, however, he’s warming up to his foster family at DogTopia Daycare for Dogs in Cleveland Hts, and rewards their kindness with soft kisses.
Harper is on old soul. He feels things deeply and remembers what he’s been through. And those are the dogs who ultimately bond most strongly and are the most grateful when they finally find the family they’re meant to be with.
About our gentle, loving boy:
• 2-year-old male mostly-shepherd; 37 pounds (needs to gain); has all shots, scheduled for neutering
• Very sweet, calm and well-mannered. Appears to be house-trained and walks well on a leash. Harper seems to love other dogs and also seems very sweet with cats.
• Shy at first but warms up to those who treat him with kindness. He wants nothing more than o snuggle in the arms of someone who will love him forever—and never betray him.
