Darlah is full of life and ready to find her forever home! Now in foster care through ACCT Philly, she’s showing off her puppy spirit—always curious, always playful, and always looking for attention.
She loves other dogs and is eager to play, whether it’s with her foster sibling or new friends she meets on walks. Speaking of walks, she’s also a total social butterfly, wanting to say hello to every person, child, and pup she meets!
At home, Darlah is doing great in her crate and settles in without barking or crying. She’s still working on potty training and learning that counters aren’t snack bars, but she’s a smart girl who’s picking things up fast. She does have one quirk—she’s a bit sensitive around her collar and prefers not to be touched there, but she’s otherwise a sweet, affectionate pup who just wants to have fun.
If you’re looking for a playful, people-loving pup who’s ready to grow and learn with you, Darlah might be the perfect match! Email foster@acctphilly.org to set up a meet!

BEHAVIOR NOTES:
03/20/2025 foster notes: Darlah is doing well for the most parts. We are starting to think and see the puppy in her. She is very into everything and always wanting attention and to play. We have introduced her to our dog who she wants to play with ALWAYS. On walks she pulls some but with harness it’s easy to correct. She does want to say hi to every person, child and dog while walking. We have discovered that she does not like to be touched around the collar area and will nibble if you do, but nothing with great force. She goes into the crate fine and does not appear to bark or cry. She has had some accidents in the house but we are working to take her out more often. She is also a counter surfer so nothing can be left out for her to get into.
03/09/2025 staff notes, playgroup: In playgroup, Darlah started off soft and came out of her shell the longer she was in the yard. She ended up really thriving playing with the other dogs, and was a mix of rough and rowdy and push and pull play. She was also humping some of the other dogs in the yard which seemed sexually motivated.
03/07/2025 staff notes: Was friendly and easy to leash. Was not reactive when another dog was present even as dog was barking and lunging towards her.
ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details.
