Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Kiki and I need a particular type of human.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it: I’ve had a rough go. First I was abandoned and surrendered to the shelter to be euthanized (lucky for me they didn’t do it), then stuck in that noisy shelter for over a month, and now I'm slowly remembering what peace feels like in my foster home. I spend my days watching the breeze ruffle the trees from my cat tree perch and curling up for long naps. Life’s quieter now. And that’s how I like it.
I’m 9 years old with sleek silver fur, dark tabby stripes, and one ear that tells its own story—call it character. I’m not a kitten. I’m not easy. But I am deeply loyal once I trust you. I don’t want chaos. I don’t want to entertain kids or dogs or anyone who doesn't speak fluent feline. I want someone who understands that a sudden swat isn’t meant to be personal—it means I’m overwhelmed. Haven’t you ever wished for a do-over? Me too.
I’m not the kind of cat you can mold into your idea of perfect. I’m the kind who teaches you to appreciate a slow blink, a silent companion and the magic of affection on my terms. I’ll climb into your lap just long enough to make your legs go numb, then hop off like it was your idea. I would thrive in a quiet home, maybe one where I could sunbathe safely outside and maybe help with the gophers, if you need help with that.
I want to belong to someone. Someone who sees me-not as a project, not as damaged or a warning label, but as a deserving soul with a crooked ear and a heart that still hopes.
Are you that someone?
