My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available to Foster or Foster to Adopt
Located in Paris, Ontario
Born December 9th 2024
Adoption fee $700

Hi, I’m Beth, a gorgeous Mastiff mix pup with a heart as big as my paws! My siblings and I were born outside, braving the freezing cold, until we were lucky enough to find a warm place in rescue. Not long after I left my siblings for my very own foster home, I ended up in emergency surgery to treat two inguinal hernias. I was in critical condition, and they weren’t sure I’d make it through, but I wasn’t ready to give up! I fought through it and have been thriving in my foster home ever since.

Despite every challenge I’ve faced, I’ve kept fighting, and now I’m ready to find the forever family I fought so hard for! I’m a total cuddle bug—my favorite place to nap is curled up in your lap. With my princess personality, I love being wrapped up in a cozy blanket. When I’m not snoozing, you’ll find me chasing toys, working on treat puzzles, or chewing on peanut butter Kongs.

I’m currently living with three other dogs, and we get along great! I haven’t been around cats yet, but I’m pretty sure I’d be just fine with them. Potty training is still a work in progress, so I’ll need a family willing to help me with that. I do great in my crate and sleep soundly through the night, only crying if I need to go potty.

I’m the perfect mix of playful companion and snuggly lap dog, and I’m looking for a family who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them. Together, we’ll make all the battles worth it!

I am up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and will be spayed prior to moving to my furever home.

If you think your home would be a good fit for a spunky girl like me, please fill out the application below.

More about this rescue

Baladi & Sled Dog Rescue of Ontario is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, providing veterinary care, and finding loving homes for dogs from the dog sledding industry. We also extend our reach locally by rescuing stray dogs and cats from Indigenous communities that we partner with.

Our rescue began saving street dogs and cats, AKA Baladis, in Egypt. Since the important on animals ban implemented in 2022, we are no longer allowed to bring animals into Canada from Egypt. Our efforts, however, expand globally, as we continue to help support the placement of Baladi's in Egyptian shelters.
