My name is ZIGGY IN CINCINNATI, OH!

Hi.  My name is Ziggy—along with the 6 or 7 other nick names my foster mom calls me!  (I don’t get it, but if something sounds reasonably familiar I just go with it).  I was the 24/7 companion for a lovely lady, until she got too sick to care for me.  Now I’m a little sad,  a little scared, (a little spoiled) and I'm looking for a new forever home.  I’m really the perfect package.  Besides being dashingly handsome, I’m super affectionate, and housebroken – bonus points for me!  I start every day with an enthusiastic tail chase and love a good round of fetch.  I’m an excellent napper and I’m happy to hang out with my person – and I’ll definitely snuggle up with you in your bed at night.  I love people and feel most comfortable when someone is with me.  I get along OK with other dogs in my foster home, but can get overly excited when I see other dogs outside. I really need to be your only dog.  People are totally my thing, but no cats or small children please.  I’m a little quirky. I get attached really quickly and can have separation anxiety.  Crate training is ongoing, and since I can be a little impulsive, I'm working hard to improve my social skills.    I’m really looking for someone who is retired, or works from home and has time to spend with me,  continue my training, and most of all make me feel safe. All I need is some patience and a lot of love.  All in all, I’m really quite awesome and will be a true friend. I would be so happy if you could make room in your home and in your heart for me.
