Hamish was dumped, he was found with 2 other cats. This boy is a sweetheart. He is a all gray/silver, and while he's a bit on the thin side for us, he will fill out in a comfortable home. Any gray cat owner will tell you these guys have a special personality that is calm, and playful at the same time. More about this shelter

Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Society has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a new board, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501c3.
