My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ebony likes to chirp when she talks and say hi whenever you’re around. She loves to sleep up high on the cat trees, on the couch, dog beds, cat beds, cat donut, cat play hut, and in hiding places. She loves to sleep in bed right up next to you if you are calm and the space is calm. She is at an expert level when it comes to litter boxes. She always uses the potty no matter how it’s made. She can use an open box litter pan, a covered litter box, and a litter robot. She always covers her business with litter. She loves toys of all kinds! She loves little balls, springs, toy mice, hair ties, pipe cleaners, small stuffed animals, and more. She likes the balls in the cat track toys, anything interactive and goes crazy for the red laser light. She is familiar and can use the cat running wheel as well, but mostly when you use the laser on it.

She is incredibly shy and scared of things, but if she is in a calm home, she will come right out of her shell. She rears up for love when you are standing, and while sitting, she will jump up on your lap, and loves getting pets. I think if she finds a calm house, she will spend every minute with you. She’s just a sweet baby who loves humans, other cats, and has been raised with a puppy who is crazy. She doesn’t play with the puppy, but leaves to a safe place when the puppy tries to play with her. She hasn’t been around small children, but I feel like she would prefer older kids who are calmer and quieter. She can wear a harness and be walked around by leash, she has been in a cat backpack a few times, and can use a locking and non locking cat door. She is ready for a calm loving home who would love a beautiful girl that loves to chirp, in a cute soft manner. She absolutely loves people.

Go meet their pets

Adoption events are held at Petsmart in Corvallis, Oregon. Events will be posted on our website, www.keithaskittierescue.org, and our Facebook page as well as advertised through partners.

All our cats can be seen via a pre-arranged "meet & greet" at anytime.

We do not have a brick and mortar shelter, but we have wonderful, caring foster homes.

More about this rescue

Keitha’s Kittie Rescue was created on August 10, 2017. and became a non-profit, 501(c)(3) on December 27, 2017. We just recently taken another rescue under our wing, Calapooia Critters Rescue and Transport.

The other shelters in the area often require owners to pay a fee to abandon their animal, or overcrowded and not able to take the animal, have the owner make an appointment to assess the animal or there is no local shelter in the community, and sometimes the animals a stray and takes time to adjust before being adopted or they need medical care. Keitha’s Kittie Rescue is all volunteer, foster based shelter.

Volunteers care for the cats and kittens in their homes. Adoption events are also held at Petsmart in Corvallis, Oregon. All money goes for the cats litter, food and medical care.

Our mission is to create a safe environment and find a future home for the unwanted, unloved, forgotten cats that no other rescue will take. We get a lot of injured, ill, and abused cats. Our veterinarian bills are quite high but we do what we can to raise funds and keep our animals in the best health. We NEVER euthanize unless it is extremely necessary. We have a few hospice foster homes where an animal can live out the rest of its days in love and comfort. It is our calling, our focus, and our main drive in life.
